1. Manual User Entry: A Personalized Approach
Set-Up:
Step 1: Open your organization's console dashboard.
In the left portion of your screen, you will see 'Settings'.
Step 2: Click on 'Settings,' and you will find 'Users'.
Step 3: Click on ‘Users’ and you will find an "Add User" button located on the right side of your screen.
Step 4: You will need to fill out the form for the new worker. The window prompt will display the required fields that need to be filled.
Step 5: The following describes the three user roles in Fareclock's console. Select the user's role within the organization:
- Worker: Can use the time clock to punch in/out, and their hours are tracked on the website
- Administrator: Has sign-in access to the website, based on specified permissions.
- Account Owner: Can manage subscription billing for this account.
Step 6: Click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the page. This will enable the worker to start clocking in. Next, you'll need to set up facial recognition for this person. Refer to another Getting Started article for detailed instructions on enrolling facial recognition for workers.
2. Quick and Easy: Bulk Add Users to Fareclock
Set-Up:
Step 1: Open your organization's console dashboard.
In the left portion of your screen, you will see 'Settings'.
Step 2: Click on 'Settings,' and you will find 'Users'.
Step 3: Click on ‘Users’ and you will find an "Add User" button located on the right side of your screen.
Step 4: Click the downward arrow button next to it and select 'Import from spreadsheet'. An import wizard will open prompting you to upload a spreadsheet file.
Step 5: There's an option to download a sample template for entering your users, though you're not required to use it precisely. The wizard allows you to flexibly match your spreadsheet columns to the corresponding fields in Fareclock.
Alternatively, you can manually enter your users one-by-one into a grid within the wizard if you prefer. This method is more time-consuming but suitable if you have a smaller number of users.
Step 6: Once you've uploaded the spreadsheet, you can match the columns as you see fit.
Step 7: Once you've matched or ignored each column, scroll to the bottom and click the "Review" button.
Step 8: Any validation errors will be highlighted, allowing you to make corrections. If you didn't set a PIN for each worker, you can turn on the randomizer at the top left side of the window prompt to assign random PINs. Additionally, you can copy the PIN to the Payroll ID field and vice-versa.
Step 9: Click "Submit" to import your workers. If there are any errors, they will be displayed.
3. Unified Access: Adding Users with a Group Device
Set-Up:
Step 1: Open the Fareclock application on the group device. Tap the menu icon in the top left corner of the screen.
Step 2: Select 'Workers' from the menu list.
Step 3: You can add users by clicking the icon with a plus sign in the top right corner of your screen.
Step 4: You will be directed to the page where you can add a new user and fill out the required fields.
Step 5: Click the 'Submit' button at the bottom so the worker can start clocking in.
