Org Units in Fareclock help you group and manage workers based on your company’s structure. This feature allows for better organization, easier reporting, and more targeted permission settings across different teams or locations. This article will guide you through setting up Org Units and assigning workers accordingly.
Setup
Step 1: Go to the Fareclock Admin Console and go to Settings. Under ‘Settings’ find and click ‘Organization’
Step 2: Click on the "Org Units" tab.
Step 3: To create a new one, click the "+ Add Org Units" button in the top right corner.
Step 4: Enter a name for the organizational unit. You may also assign a specific time zone and a payroll ID for this unit, if applicable.
Assigning Org Units
1. Job, Job Phase, and Cost Code:
You can assign one or more Org Units to a Job, Job Phase, or Cost Code.

Assigning an Org Unit to a device restricts access to admins within that unit only.

6. User (Basic Information)
This setting assigns an org unit to a user for classification and reporting purposes.
7. User (Worker, Admin, and/or User fields Permissions)
This setting defines the org unit/s a user or admin has permission to access or administer within the system.
