To prevent clock-ins using a photograph, enable the optional setting called ‘Detect Face Liveness’.
Enable
Step 1: Go to the Fareclock Admin Console and go to Settings. Under ‘Settings’ find and click ‘Devices’.
Step 2: Click the ‘Defaults’ tab above.
Step 3: In the Face Settings section, review the options under ‘Face Liveness Detection Strategies’ (eye or mouth movement, detecting if the face is not from a phone or photo, or passive detection).
All your time clocks (once synced with the enabled setting) will now reject photos. This feature relies on detecting eye blinks, so employees will not be able to clock in while wearing tinted sunglasses. Regular eyeglasses should be fine, unless there is significant glare on the lenses. If an employee has difficulty passing face detection, they should blink slowly and regularly.
In addition, video spoofing is also prevented. The system uses advanced liveness detection strategies, which may include prompting the person in front of the screen to perform random facial movements that cannot be anticipated or pre-recorded.
