When the time clock is online, changing the device time will not affect punches.

If the time clock is offline, Fareclock can detect time changes. By default, punches are flagged as ‘Tampered’ in the Console. You can also enable an option to lock the time clock if tampering is detected.

Enable

Step 1: Go to the Fareclock Admin Console and go to Settings. Under ‘Settings’ find and click ‘Devices’.

Step 2: Click the ‘Defaults’ tab above.

Step 3: In the Security Settings section, find the field "Prevent time tampering". You can set it to either:

• Lock while tampered until the time is corrected, or
• Lock once detected until admin unlocks.

With either option, any punches affected will be flagged as Tampered.
