In this article, you'll explore the various settings and configurations available within the Shifts section.
Defaults:
Basic Settings:
Shift modes: The Shift Mode setting determines the rules governing employee work shifts.
- The Open mode allows a simple, lenient way for employees to clock IN/OUT for work.
- The Schedule mode combines richly-defined shift classes and a calendar-driven schedule to enforce employee work shifts. Employees can only clock IN if they have an assigned shift.
- You can also set the Schedule mode to first use the schedule, but if a shift is not scheduled for a particular employee on a particular day, it will fall back to the Open shift so that the employee can still clock in.
