Personal Devices
- A personal device is linked to a specific user and can only be modified or deactivated by the administrator through the user's profile under Personal Device Settings.
- These settings ensure that changes to a user’s device remain specific to them and do not affect shared devices.
- Note: You can also deactivate a personal device by deactivating the user when they are no longer active. For more information on deactivating users, please read this help article.
How to Deactivate a Personal Device
Step 1: Go to the Fareclock Admin Console and navigate to Settings > Users.
Step 2: Select the specific user.
Step 3: Under Personal Device Settings, disable the "Enable personal device" option to deactivate.
Group Devices
- These devices are shared among multiple users and can be managed centrally under Settings > Devices.
- Admins can update, modify, or deactivate any group device from this section.
How to Deactivate a Group Device
Step 1: Go to the Fareclock Admin Console and navigate to Settings > Devices.
Step 2: Select the device you want to deactivate.
Step 3: In the 'Basic Information' section, uncheck the 'Active' box to deactivate the device.
