Fareclock enables you to bulk update existing worker profiles via spreadsheet import. This feature is particularly useful for updating fields such as department, pay rate, payroll ID, mobile phone number, and other worker-specific details.
To proceed, ensure your spreadsheet includes a column for either the worker’s name and/or payroll ID to accurately match existing records. Include only the columns for fields you intend to update—any fields not included will remain unchanged.
You can also include an ‘Active’ column to set workers as inactive or active. This functionality is useful not only for updates but also for initial imports of new workers.
Step 1: Go to the Fareclock Admin Console and go to Settings. Under ‘Settings’ find and click ‘Users’.
Step 2: Click the downward arrow next to the "Add User" button in the top-right corner, then select "Import from spreadsheet."
Step 3: Toggle the button to “Update Workers Only.”
Step 4: You can download a sample template to update user information, but using it exactly is optional.
Step 5: Once the file is ready, upload it.
Step 6: Verify that the first row contains column titles.
Step 7: Once you've confirmed or ignored each column, scroll to the bottom and click the "Review" button.
Step 8: Any validation errors will be highlighted, allowing you to make the necessary corrections. If no errors are found, you can proceed to submit the file.
You can also use the toggle options above to display only rows or columns with issues or values.
