Console Notifications in Fareclock provide real-time alerts and updates to help administrators efficiently manage workforce activities. These notifications appear in the upper-right corner of the Admin Console and serve as alerts for items such as missed punches and time-off requests.
Customizing Notifications
You can tailor notification settings to match your workflow and responsibilities. Admins can:
- Enable or disable specific types of notifications
- Adjust visibility preferences in the Console
Step 1: Click the notification button.
Step 2: Go to ‘Notification preferences’.
Inbox means the notification will appear in the notification list without triggering an alert, while Alert + Inbox will display the notification in the list and also send a real-time alert to the admin/worker.
Note that notification preferences for an admin depend on the permissions enabled by the Account Owner (Super Admin) under User > Notifications in the Admin Console.
Shortcuts to Common Notifications
The Console includes quick-access shortcuts for reviewing common alerts:
-
Missed Punch Requests
When a worker submits a correction for a missed clock-in or clock-out, an alert will appear in the Console. Clicking it takes you directly to the approval page. -
Time Off Requests
Admins are notified when employees request time off. The notification opens the request details so you can review balances and approve or deny the request quickly.
Setting Permissions for Alerts and Notifications
You can control who can receive system alerts and notifications by configuring each admin's permissions.
Setup
Step 1: Go to the Fareclock Admin Console and go to Settings. Under ‘Settings’ find and click ‘Users’.
Step 2: You will see a list of users, click on the user you want to edit the permissions for the notifications.
Step 3: Under ‘Permissions,’ modify the 'Worker Role Permissions' and 'Admin Role Permissions' based on organizational units, departments, user labels, and other criteria to tailor access according to your organization's structure criteria.
Step 4: To modify alert or notification settings, scroll down to the ‘Notifications’ section and check the box for each notification that the admin should receive.
