By default, workers can use any time clock on your account. This keeps things simple and works best for most setups. However, you can limit which devices workers are allowed to clock in from using Org Units.
Note that Device Security Settings or Permissions only control which workers the admin PIN can access on a device. They do not control which workers can clock in.
The correct way to control worker access is through Org Units.To learn more about Org Units, please refer to this help article.
Setup
Step 1: Go to the Fareclock Admin Console and go to Settings. Under ‘Settings’ find and click ‘Organization’.
Step 2: Click on the "Org Units" tab.
Step 3: To create a new one, click the "+ Add Org Units" button in the top right corner.
Step 4: Enter a name for the organizational unit. You may also assign a specific time zone and a payroll ID for this unit, if applicable.
Assigning per Device and User
Device
Step 1: Go to the Fareclock Admin Console and go to Settings. Under ‘Settings’ find and click ‘Devices’.
Step 2: Select the device you want to edit the settings.
Step 3: After selecting the device, you will find a settings option underneath where you can locate 'Security Settings'.
User
Step 1: Go to the Fareclock Admin Console and go to Settings. Under ‘Settings’ find and click ‘Users’.
Step 2: You will see a list of users, click on the user you want to edit the settings.
Step 3: After selecting the user, you will find a settings option underneath where you can locate 'Permissions'.
This setting defines the org unit/s a user or admin has permission to access or administer within the system.
