Fareclock’s live geolocation tracking feature allows administrators to view where workers are in real time. This functionality only works when the Fareclock app is installed and configured on a personal mobile device—not on shared or group devices. Each worker must use their assigned device and grant the necessary permissions for the app to function properly.
To ensure accurate tracking, workers must enable Location and Physical Activity permissions for the app. These permissions allow Fareclock to track the device's movement in the background, even when the app isn't actively in use.
In addition to real-time location monitoring, Fareclock’s background geolocation tracking also provides administrators with access to a worker’s location history. This means that administrators can review the paths and locations where a worker has been during work hours, helping to ensure accountability and support operational needs.
This guide will walk you through how to set up the required permissions for full functionality.
