The Notes feature in Fareclock allows administrators to both view internal notes of workers and send messages directly to workers through the Fareclock mobile app. This guide covers how to access, manage, and use Notes effectively within the Admin Console.
Viewing Worker Notes (Punch Notes)
Punch notes are attached to specific clock-in or clock-out events. These can be useful when workers need to explain anomalies like late arrivals, missed punches, or shift deviations.
To View Punch Notes:
You can find punch notes in the following screens within the Admin Console. Note that each note will appear alongside the relevant punch entry, making it easy for admins to assess the situation in context:
- Manage > Timecards
Step 1: Go to the Fareclock Admin Console and go to Manage. Under ‘Manage’ find and click ‘Time Cards’.
Step 2: To view a worker's notes, search for their time card. Once located, the notes will be displayed in this section:
- Manage > Raw Punches
Step 1: Go to the Fareclock Admin Console and go to Manage. Under ‘Manage’ find and click ‘Raw Punches’.
Step 2: Ensure that the "Notes" column is selected for it to be displayed.
- Reports > Time Cards
Step 1: Go to the Fareclock Admin Console and go to Reports. Under ‘Reports’ find and click ‘Time Cards’.
Step 2: Adjust the settings and select the appropriate columns to view the note.
Sending Notes to Workers
Administrators can also send messages directly to workers through the Fareclock mobile app for announcements or specific reminders.
Setup:
Step 1: Go to the Fareclock Admin Console and go to Settings. Under ‘Settings’ find and click ‘Users’.
Step 2: You will see a list of users, click on the user you want to send notes.
Step 3: Under ‘Notifications,’ select ‘Send Notification Message to this User.’
