This article walks through a focused use case: setting up scheduled breaks for every worker in Fareclock. This setup ensures that workers consistently receive breaks during their shifts, and allows you to choose the break method that best fits your organization's workflow.
Set Up
Step 1: Go to the Fareclock Admin Console and go to Settings. Under ‘Settings’ find and click ‘Shifts’.
Step 2: Enable the ‘Schedule + Open’ shift mode setting.
This setting allows employees to clock in and out at any time, while still enforcing scheduled rules like shift hours and break requirements.
Step 3: To create a team, under ‘Manage’ find and click the ‘Schedule’.
Step 4: Click on the "Teams" tab.
Step 5: After that, click '+ New Schedule Team'.
Step 6: After clicking it, a window will appear on the right side of the screen. Here, you need to enter the team's name.
Step 7: To assign the shift class to a schedule team, navigate to the ‘Schedules’ tab above.
Step 8: Select the ‘Teams’ option.
Step 9: Click the ‘+’ button to assign a shift class to the schedule team.
Step 10: In the dropdown for shift class, choose ‘Add a new Shift Class’.
For more information about Shift Class, refer to this help article.
