How to Use PIN-Only Clock In/Out (Disable Face Recognition)

The PIN-Only Clock In/Out feature allows organizations to disable Face Recognition and require workers to clock in and out using a secure PIN instead. This option is useful for teams that prefer a simpler authentication method, operate in environments where face scanning is not practical, or need an alternative for compliance or accessibility reasons.

To disable Face Recognition:

Step 1: Go to the Fareclock Admin Console and go to Settings. Under ‘Settings’ find and click ‘Devices’.

Step 2: Click the ‘Defaults’ tab above.

Step 3: In the Identity Settings section, set Face Mode to “Off” to disable Face Recognition.

Please note that Fareclock also supports other clock-in methods, such as QR codes and NFC tags. These options can be enabled by configuring the appropriate settings.
